Amman Forum on Measuring, Monitoring and Assessing PVE

June 16, 2019

Date: 18-19 June 2019
Location:
Amman, Jordan

The Amman Forum will create space to bring forward lessons by researchers and practitioners and explore potential solutions to the conceptual and practical challenges of measuring PVE. Research areas look set to expand and will continue to define knowledge production, policies and programmatic interventions. Research on PVE draws upon multi-disciplinary fields but as much research remains confidential there is a need for cooperation, collaboration and information sharing. The Amman Forum will create space for such exchange of knowledge and challenges, whilst centering on forward-looking discussions.

It will act as a global platform bringing together researchers, academics, practitioners, evaluators and others working on improving measurement and monitoring in the area of PVE.

The Forum will enable researchers, practitioners and evaluators on PVE-related areas to:

  • Promote exchange and enable well-coordinated partnerships,

  • Share research questions, methodologies and findings in relation to radicalization,

  • Share lessons learned from conducting monitoring and evaluation of PVE programming and new M&E techniques,

  • Feed into policy recommendations and guidance to practitioners, donors and policy makers.
